Physical Exams

We recommend a complete physical exam every 6 to 12 months depending on your pet’s age and health condition. Physical exams can aid in the early detection of illnesses and diseases, as well as enable us to make recommendations that will help your pet live a long and happy life. As your pet ages, we also recommend geriatric health screening for early detection of underlying health problems.

Vaccinations

We administer vaccinations that help protect against contagious diseases such as parvovirus, bordatella (kennel cough), distemper, and feline leukemia. We vaccinate all animals against rabies, as required by law. We determine which vaccines are appropriate for your pet based on his/her age and lifestyle.

Annual Parasite Checks

We recommend having all pets tested for internal parasites such as whipworms, roundworms, and coccidian. In addition, we recommend a yearly heartworm test for dogs, which also screens for the most common tick diseases found in our area.

Anesthesia

Knowledge of your pet’s complete health status is crucial to the safety of your pet during surgery and dental procedures. Since bloodwork can reveal underlying health problems, we require pre-anesthetic lab work. We use the most current anesthetic agents , as well as state of the art monitoring equipment to aid in the safety of your pet. Postoperative pain medication is prescribed for the comfort of your pet.

Surgery

We offer many surgical procedures including spaying/neutering and a variety of soft tissue surgeries. All declaws and most soft tissue surgeries are performed with a laser, which decreases pain and bleeding associated with surgery.

Dental Care

A healthy mouth is essential to your pet’s overall wellness. Untreated dental disease can lead to major medical problems including infections of the mouth and organs. We offer general cleaning and dentistry services for your pet.

Diagnostic Testing

Our in-house laboratory equipment enables us to quickly and efficiently evaluate your pet’s health status and to diagnose underlying disease. We offer state of the art digital x-rays. This allows us to provide a non invasive evaluation of your pet in a timely manner.

Microchips

We recommend microchipping all pets. This is a quick and painless procedure in which a small chip is implanted under your pet’s skin. Microchipping has helped return thousands of lost pets to their owners.

Nutritional Needs

We carry a complete line of Hill’s Prescription diets. These foods can aid in the treatment of many diseases such as kidney failure, diabetes, and obesity. In addition, we offer a limited variety of therapeutic diets from Royal Canin and Purina.
